1. Overview

At ShopNShout, we aim to ensure a smooth shopping experience. Since we operate as a multi-vendor marketplace, return and refund policies may vary depending on the individual seller.

This policy outlines the general return and refund guidelines applicable across the platform.


2. Eligibility for Returns

A product may be eligible for return if:

  • It is damaged, defective, or incorrect at the time of delivery
  • It does not match the product description
  • The return request is raised within the specified return window

Conditions:

  • Item must be unused and in original condition
  • Original packaging, tags, invoice, and accessories must be intact
  • Certain items may be non-returnable (see Section 5)

3. Return Window

  • Customers must initiate a return request within [7 / 10 / 15] days of delivery (configurable as per your platform policy)
  • Requests raised after this period may not be accepted

4. Return Process (Step-by-Step)

Step 1: Initiate Request

  • Login to your ShopNShout account
  • Go to My Orders → Select Product → Request Return

Step 2: Provide Details

  • Select reason for return
  • Upload images (if item is damaged/defective)

Step 3: Vendor Approval

  • The respective vendor will review the request
  • Approval/rejection will be communicated within 2–3 business days

Step 4: Pickup / Self-Shipping

  • If approved, the item will either:
    • Be picked up by logistics partner, OR
    • Customer may be asked to ship it manually

5. Non-Returnable Items

The following categories may not be eligible for return:

  • Perishable goods (food, flowers, etc.)
  • Personal care & hygiene products
  • Innerwear, swimwear
  • Customized or made-to-order items
  • Digital/downloadable products
  • Items marked as “Non-Returnable” on product page

6. Refund Policy

Refund Eligibility

Refunds are processed when:

  • Returned product passes vendor inspection
  • Order is cancelled before shipment
  • Payment was made but order was not fulfilled

Refund Method

Refunds will be issued via:

  • Original payment method, OR
  • Store wallet (if applicable)

Refund Timeline

  • Refunds are processed within 5–7 business days after approval
  • Bank/payment gateway may take additional 2–5 days to reflect

7. Replacement Policy

  • Replacement is subject to vendor availability
  • If replacement is not available, a refund will be issued
  • Only applicable for eligible products

8. Order Cancellation

  • Orders can be cancelled before they are shipped
  • Once shipped, cancellation may not be possible
  • Refund for cancelled orders will be processed as per Section 6

9. Vendor Responsibility

  • Vendors are responsible for:
    • Product quality
    • Accurate descriptions
    • Handling returns and refunds

ShopNShout acts as an intermediary platform and may assist in dispute resolution but is not directly liable.


10. Shipping Charges

  • Original shipping charges may be non-refundable
  • Return shipping charges:
    • Covered by vendor (if defect/incorrect item)
    • May be borne by customer (if other reasons)

11. Failed Return Pickup

If pickup fails due to customer unavailability:

  • Reattempt may be made
  • Repeated failures may lead to cancellation of return request

12. Dispute Resolution

If you are not satisfied with the vendor’s response:

  • Contact ShopNShout support
  • We will review the case and assist in fair resolution
